Wellness Coach

My name is Kaitlyn Wendt and I am the Family Connections Wellness Coach (FCWC) for Milk River, and Warner. I grew up on a farm just outside of Vauxhall, Alberta and went to school in Vauxhall. Growing up I was involved in 4-H and was a part of the Retlaw Prairie 4-H Beef club for 12 years, and have been a leader with the same club for 5 years. I also was involved with volleyball, basketball, badminton, and soccer. As well as playing violin and piano. I moved to Lethbridge for school and met my husband and we have been in Lethbridge ever since. We have an (almost) one year old son, and a wild 2 year old Labradoodle! I graduate from the Lethbridge College in 2019 with a diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN). Since then I have worked in several different family physician clinics, home care, Chinook Bone and Joint Clinic, the border and Lethbridge Emergency! I kept getting maternity positions that would last 9-12 months. At the time it felt annoying and frustrating but I am so grateful for all of the different experiences this gave me! Through my nursing career I realized that I was more drawn to the mental health aspect of nursing. So I went back to school and graduated from the University of
Lethbridge in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a double minor in Mental Health and Neuroscience. I have since been accepted into Yorkville University and will be taking a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and all it has to offer!
